The origin of “Trampoline”
The first modern trampoline was invented in 1936 by George Nissen and Larry Griswold, both students at the University of Iowa. Observing that trapeze artists used taut nets to add entertainment value to their performances, they pulled canvas and cable loops over coil springs on angle iron frames.
