This large indoor playground stands as the largest soft playground in Ulsan, South Korea, reaching a size of 39826.5 sq.ft. This case study explores the development of this monumental structure, which not only sets records for its size but also reflects Dream Catch’s dedication to offering a wide variety of experiences for both children and adults.

Background:

As a leading commercial indoor playground manufacturer, Dream Catch was asked to create a space that surpasses typical recreational areas. Situated in Ulsan, South Korea, the indoor play space was to merge the realms of entertainment and leisure, creating an indoor play marvel that serves as a central landmark within the community.

Challenge:

This is a brand new custom project for indoor amusement areas. Not only is its area up to 39826.5 sq.ft, but more importantly, the customer requires that everything from the layout of the site, the construction of the building to the theme design of the playground and the color selection must be 100% customized.

Methodology:

Dream Catch approached the challenge with a meticulous methodology. This involved a comprehensive analysis of space utilization, safety considerations, future operation, and personalized design. The whole process prioritized the creation of diverse experiences at personalized design.

Solution:

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, our team flew to South Korea to communicate with the customer face to face. During the communication process with the customer, we felt that the customer had extremely high requirements for highlighting the individuality of the playground. For this reason, in addition to communicating with the customer, we specifically investigated the playgrounds in Ulsan and the surrounding areas and finally brought them together in the plan. The long process gave us a deeper understanding of the local market.
